Spooky Game Adjustments
Hello!
I know I haven't been giving much info on the game we're working on. I'm sorry about that, but it's because it's not going well.
The deadline is in about two days. But I'm practically 2,000 words behind on my goal, and I'm worried about assets getting made in time.
Because of this, I'm making a decision that's uncomfortable for me... but I think it's what's best.
I'm leaving the jam, and releasing this game for either the 30th or the 31st.
This pains me a lot, because... I feel like I failed a jam I really wanted to be a part of. But... I'd rather take that loss, and make a better game that will be enjoyed long after the jam is over.
I'm also really embarrassed to be changing things and postponing stuff so often... I feel really bad about it.
Still. My priority is to make a game that I'm happy with. If that can't possibly be done by the deadline, then I'll make a new one.
Having an extra week to work on the game will make things significantly less stressful.
I hope you can understand. As always, thank you for being with me.
Bye-Bye~! <3

if you feel like your game is unpolished or isnt finished yet, its perfectly understandable to postpone projects so you can work on them more. Even large game companies delay release dates because of bugs or unfinished assets that were overlooked! Dont feel bad if you have to postpone because of unpolished aspects of your project, that just means your idea is great and still needs time to grow to its full potential!
